Thermal Imaging Services

Thermal imaging uses infrared technology to locate hidden moisture in building materials which cannot be seen by the naked eye. Under normal conditions, water is naturally colder than the surrounding materials in a building. The thermal camera uses heat readings to locate where the moisture is in the structure, without any damage to the walls or other structural materials.

Thermal imaging inspections can pinpoint exactly where the water damage is, so that drying equipment can be precisely directed, allowing us to dry the building faster and more efficiently.

Thermal imaging can also help find leaking duct work, roof leaks, or small pipe leaks inside of walls. Shower pan leaks, which are very common, can be determined with a thermal imaging inspection

In the photos, the areas which show in blue are the areas which are wet. The red and yellow areas indicate that these areas are dry. Thermal imaging is also used during the course of a water damage restoration to increase the effectiveness of the equipment placement, and along with other equipment readings, to determine that the structure is fully dry.
